Busy Couple of Weeks

So I know its been a couple weeks since Ive updated you all on our busy lives so now is as good of time as any seeing as though my house is clean so there is nothing to be doing there and my daughter is enjoying learning with Dora so no tv for me... which is a great thing i watch to much of it anyways...

So last weekend was my baby shower thats right time has flown by it seems just like yesterday we were finding out we were expecting and then it was a boy and now he is almost here... WOW we are so excited too, the kids ask every day when their brother is going to be here and the hubby and I are waiting so patiently to hold our new bundle of joy... Anyways back to my baby shower... I had so much fun with friends and family that came to celebrate with me!!!! we played games and munched on so yummy food and we had many many good laughs here are some pics from that awesome day!!!!!

After my shower last week we had church on sunday and a pretty quite monday!!! Tuesday was our Princess Birthday even though we didnt celebrate that day we still made sure to tell her happy birthday!!!! The rest of the week was quite I had some issues with my back hurting really bad due to the baby being so darn big but quickly recovered!!!! Sunday we had a small family get together for the Princess' Birthday!!!! It was so exciting to see how excited she was for her day!!!! While I was cleaning the house getting it ready for company she went around all day saying Happy Birfday to me happy birfday to me... then when everyone got here she did so good making sure to spend time with everyone (since they were all here to see her lol) we had dinner and sang happy birthday and ate cake then she opened her presents and she was the happiest girl on earth!!!! Now its crunch time to get ready for the baby... We are so excited for him to get here!!! Just a few short weeks!!!! 

FHE Our Favorite Night of the Week

Today has been quite a day we started out having to get up early again for Alex to go back to school. Then of course Fayth-Lynn didnt know what to do her play buddy was gone I think she was very bummed today but we tried to make the day go by kinda fast. Then Alex finally got home from school (we all missed him today) and the two of them were sent outside to play since daddy noticed that they know the tv commercials. I made a tamale taquitos for dinner... very interesting but really good. After dinner we had FHE, we love this night because we forget about the tv, phones, and computers for a little while and its nice to just get to spend time togther. Tonight we put together a gingerbread house that we were suppose to do on Christmas but didnt get too... Alex and I put the walls and roof together and while it was drying so the kids could decorate it we reveiwed the commandments. Alex has forgotten them all becuase of school and all the crazy last couple of months so we decided it was time to review and we will continue to do so over the next couple weeks since he has forgotten them all... After going over the first 5 we read our nightly scriptures and on to finishing the house the kids each decorated a side and they had so much fun doing so! (next year I think I will see what it takes to bake my own and do the whole thing from scratch!!!) The kids did amazing with the house and they cant wait to eat it tomorrow.

After the house was finished Alex said prayer and he did such an amazing job at it, blessing EVERYTHING that went through that big brain of his!!!! It was the cutest prayer ive ever herd, Im sure even our Heavenly Father got a chuckle. After that we were about to send Alex up to shower and Fayth-Lynn to bed and then I remembered our fun snack that I made so we gobbled down some yummy banana pudding and off to bed time routines the kids went.

Now that the kiddos are in bed daddy is working on some computer programming stuff and mommy is about to get up and get some stuff that should have been done earlier done... Fold some laundry, and put it away, put the food away and try and finish the dishes and hopefully finally sweep and mop the floor! Hope everyone else has a restful good night!!!!

Schellenberg Christmas 2011

Our family was truly blessed this holiday season we could not be more grateful!!!!! We were blessed with secret Santa and friends and family that spoiled us with gifts, but most of all we were blessed that we were able to be together as a family and share the most important thing of all "Jesus' Birthday".

We started our Christmas eve with Schellenberg family pictures, it was cold but worth seeing our family that we love!!!! We then came home for a few hours where the kids colored Santa some coloring pages and mommy finished up our goody bag gifts for our family. Then we all got ready and heading to the Babbitt's side for Christmas eve dinner and a special visit from Santa!!!

After the fun we headed over to grandmas house to stay the night and spend Christmas morning at her house for our traditional Christmas breakfast. We opened our gifts and spent lots of quality time with the brothers and sisters!!!

After breakfast and having fun times and laughs our little family headed home. When we got home we discovered that Santa had made a visit at our house, the kids were so excited they itched to open all the wonderful things that were under the colorful paper.

It took the kids a good hour and a half to open all their gifts and they had so much fun doing it. Here is a little view of all of our favorite gifts this year!!!

After we opened our gifts the kids played with some of their toys while daddy took a nap and mommy cooked up some yummy Christmas dinner!!!! We sat down as a family and my little boy blessed our food and blessed that "Jesus had a good birthday". Made mommy and daddy so proud!

That evening the kids went to their grandma and grandpas and the hubby and I cuddled and watched our new movies and just enjoyed the rest of our evening!!!! Over all this holiday season has been the best by far in many years. Hoping for a great start of a great year 2012 here we come we are ready for you!!!!!

It Has Been A While

I know I know I am slacking with this whole blog thing and when I think about getting up and doing it I tell myself I cant sit at the computer until my chores are done but then the chores are never done so I never get on here long enough to sit and write for awhile... but it is a new year and there is always room for improvement I will make sure to make more time to sit and keep you all updated on whats new with The Schellenbergs!!!!!
